The 11th Annual Crested Butte Music Festival, themed "Discover the Roots of Paradise" explores the music of the town's early Eastern-European settlers. Running from July 4-31, the festival features 33 performances in 28 days, including a wide array of symphony, chamber, opera, big band, jazz, bluegrass, country and dance.

This year's performers include Czech Republic-based conductor Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Russian balalaika virtuoso Andrej Gorbachev, and an opera cast performing one of the most famous Italian masterpieces, "Falstaff" by Giuseppe Verdi. Up-and-coming performers from the Opera Young Artist Program in Paradise will also display their vocal talents.
