Historic Challenge at Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole is a natural arena of activities that have drawn people in search of a challenge or their own personal limits since the mountain men held their first rendezvous here. Spring thaw brings modern day mountain men down to the Teton County Fairgrounds for a reenactment of those early gatherings.

Travel back in time and meet the mountain men who called Jackson Hole home during the hunting and trapping days of the 1830s. Mingle with crafters of authentic earth-made wares in period clothing and learn the ways of the historical mountain camps. Enjoy Trader's Row, trapper teepee village, Bow and Arrow Competition, Hawk and Knife Competition, and Atlatal and Tomahawk Competition. Mountian Man Rendezvous takes place May 17 to 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. though the early participants kept the party going for days.
