Bring a picnic, spread the blanket, and watch the stars above the Deer Valley Amphitheater in Park City while the Utah Symphony fires up its fifth year.

The Deer Valley Music Festival is scheduled to start July 19 and runs through Aug. 16. This event has evolved into the premier outdoor music festival in Park City and kicks off with Keith Lockhart conducting the Utah symphony in a cannon-filled performance of Tchaikovsky's explosive 1812 Overture. Lots of Sousa Marches and film scores and if that doesn't stir the blood, check your pulse. On July 24 the Utah symphony goes back to the classics when they perform at St. Mary's Church. Much more, including Beatlemania on July 26 and Gladys Knight on Aug. 16.
