The high country's premier Oktoberfest celebration, a time-honored, German tradition, returns to Main Street: good food, good music, lederhosen, and Oompah music.

Everyone needs to get a little "oompah" on now and then. Breckenridge gives locals and visitors a chance to "get Bavarian" with their 14th Annual Oktoberfest. The weekend-long celebration kicks off with the prestigious Brewmeister's Dinner the night of Friday, Sept. 12, 2008. It rolls through Sept. 14 with a street party on Main, complete with food and beverage vendors, music by "Those Austrian Guys," and Schuhplattler dancers, for a roaring good time the whole family will enjoy.
