
Built in 1913 by miners as a Vaudeville theater, the Sheridan Opera House is center stage for Telluride's thriving arts community.
The Sheridan Opera House and Sheridan Arts Foundation (970-728-6363; http://www.sheridanoperahouse.com) are located at 110 N. Oak St., Telluride. It features everything from the Telluride Film Festival, Chamber Music Festival, Mountain Film Festival, numerous theatre productions, movies, festivals, benefits, and concerts. The Sheridan Arts Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Opera House as an artistic venue and attracting quality arts and cultural events to Telluride.
