Summer concerts are commonplace in Okemo as residents shake off winter and embrace music and the season.
The Okemo Chamber of Commerce holds the Okemo Valley Music Series, a weekly series of live concerts on slected evenings from late July to late August.
This summer series of concerts on the lawn are scheduled to take place on Tuesdays in Ludlow, Wednesdays in Cavendish, and Thursdays in Chester, but be sure to check out the schedule.

If you want professional theatre productions, the Weston Playhouse (802-824-5288; http://www.westonplayhouse.org) and Dorset Theatre Festival (802-867-5777) are fairly close and fit the bill.
