Stowe's mountain Gondola is a great way to start a day hike, saving your legs for the trip home.

This is a "must do." Take the Gondola SkyRide to near the summit of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. From there, you can hike along the ridgeline, and enjoy views of Vermont, east to New Hampshire, west to New York and north to Quebec. Gondola SkyRide is open June 21-Oct. 19, 2008.
