Stowe's mountains bustle all four seasons, and summer visitors reap big rewards. If you're in shape and feeling adventurous, pit your thighs against Hell Brook, one of Stowe's steepest and most difficult trails.

Ride the Stowe Mountain Resort Gondola to high on Mt. Mansfield or drive to the top of the Toll Road, then hike to the true summit. The hike is mellow from the top of the Toll road, while the terrain above the gondola is slightly more rigorous. The view has given more than a few skiers pause.
