Mammoth Mountain Bike Park will offer the Women's Mountain Bike Camp for a third year this August. The three-day program is quickly growing in popularity with new participants joining the enthusiastic returnees each summer. The camp is designed for female riders from beginner to intermediate levels to pick up new skills in a fun environment.
The camp staff, led by Laura Bates, checks everyone out on the first trail to assess their riding. Bates has been cross-country mountain biking for six years, living in Mammoth for the last two summers. She has been known to pedal 100 miles in a day, and in winter works as a Mammoth Mountain Ski Patroller.
The camp is August 17 - 19, 2007 and costs $399 per person, which includes a 3-day trail pass and lunch. For more information, call 800-626-6684 or visit http://www.mammothmountain.com/bikepark.
